A guest is any user who has not logged into Drupal4Ed. When visiting as a guest, you can read content, or use any of the Contact Us links to send email to the site administrator. You will be able to add comments to some pages, and you can submit questions using the Ask an Expert link.
If you are a faculty member and you create content here for your students, you will not be able to track your students unless they log in. If you wish to know which of your students has visited your content pages, or if you are requiring students to contribute content to the site, please make sure that they know that logging in is required. Students can choose to allow the site or their browsers to remember them so that they can avoid the actual process of typing in their usernames and passwords.
It is a good idea for faculty to log out periodically so that they can see the site as a guest would see it. The number of navigational options is significantly reduced when you visit the site as a guest.
